Most occur at Ashurst Lodge, but some programs are conducted in the field. Both educators and students come from around the world and Wessex takes pride in this international diversity. For 2017, courses include Spatial Target Mapping for Hazard Prediction and Risk Assessment, Flooding and Mudflow Risk Management Using Computer Modeling, and System Dynamics Modelling for Water Resources Management. Courses typically last three full days with intermittent breaks for food and sightseeing. In addition to programs at Wessex, the institute works with BEASY to provide additional seminars for advanced graduates. Once a course is finished, subsequent conferences can wrap up the material and give participants an opportunity to showcase their work. To sign up for any of the above, contact Wessex via telephone or email to schedule an appointment and get started with these intriguing courses.
